iTQ Level 2
A new, unique training and qualification programme, designed by employers to meet the needs of today's business.
Who is the iTQ for?
Individuals who use IT skills in their day to day work. The NVQ is a work-oriented qualification and is suitable for those who have current real work experience. It is open to candidates of any age, of either gender and there are no entry barriers on grounds of race or creed.
How is the iTQ Assessed?
Like all NVQ's, this qualification is competence-based. This means that candidates are assessed on their ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with their work. Critical Skills unique delivery comprises a series of workshops allowing candidates to improve their knowledge, and work through the course syllabus. Candidates will produce work evidence to show that they are competent in all areas of the 5 modules, which is then assessed by one of our fully trained assessors, and submitted for certification.
What will be expected of Candidates?
Candidates will be expected to attend 5 full day workshops at Critical Skills purpose built, state of the art training centres. In addition to this, one of our trained assessors will arrange with you to undertake observations in your workplace in order to gather evidence for the 5th mandatory unit. Candidates will be fully supported in their learning. Observations take from 30-60 minutes. In order to achieve the iTQ, candidates will be required to submit 4 pieces of work evidence from their place of work to demonstrate their day to day
use of IT, as well as a CV and Job Description for their current position.
What does the Course Cover?
Candidates will demonstrate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
