Critical Skills (UK) Limited is a vibrant, energetic company, established in July 1997 and incorporated in 1999 having successfully capitalised on the opportunities in the fast growing market sector of information and Technology transfer, having a wealth of ICT related subjects where people and their development come first. Since its humble beginnings Critical Skills have since re-invested, grown and expanded to its current size. The business employs over 40 staff and associates and has an anticipated annual turnover in excess of £3 million. Critical Skills operate outreach sites in Whittington, Beeston, Peterborough, Northampton, Sheffield and managed from our new Barlborough Links base in Chesterfield.
Critical Skills has only specific aim -to help individuals to achieve their fullest potential. Through our experience in the delivery of learning programmes we have helped thousand of people of all ages and backgrounds gain promotion in their existing jobs or leave one behind that was dissatisfying and move into a more rewarding career. Critical Skills focus on retaining existing customers and attracting new ones by extending their service by training our staff to the highest standard to ensure that they are of the very best calibre.
Critical Skills now offers an extensive portfolio of over a thousand ICT, Business management, environmental, multi media, automotive and skills for life courses. These range from on line to tutor led, distance learning to on site either off the shelf or tailor made to suit your individual needs. Other programmes include Customer Service, Business Improvement Techniques, Health and Social Care, Forklift Truck, Counterbalance & Reach, CSCS, Health & Safety Card, Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and the SIA security Certificate.
A quick snapshot of their achievements reveals that since 2002 over 600 local businesses have worked closely with Critical Skills with 9359 learners enrolled on amazing 46,354 courses. It has also focused closely on some key industrial specialisms. For example, 120 local tradesman have gained their CSCS card to help the construction trade improve quality, reduce accidents and the potential for "cowboy builders" from the industry. Furthermore, in excess of 1000 qualifications have been achieved by Fork Lift Truck operatives or people who work in local warehouses-Critical Skills really have made a huge impact on local people.
