RTITB Counterbalance Forklift Licence
By achieving your Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence you will gain a job specific skill and qualification that can only enhance your job prospects. The licence and NORS registration can open doors in many kinds of work within warehousing and distribution.
STAGE ONE:
Attend a 2 week theory training programme to equip you with job ready skills identifying areas where you can get ahead at work, and increase your job prospects. You will undertake a range of courses and training, and you could gain a number of job specific skills such as;
- Numeracy Certificate
- Literacy Certificate
- CV Writing
- Interview Techniques
- IT and Computer Training
- Theory Training towards your Counterbalance Licence
STAGE TWO:
Soon after your counterbalance theory training you will be issued with a date to commence your practical training to gain your RTITB Counterbalance Forklift Licence. The date for your practical will whenever possible follow on from the week in which you complete your theory training. Practical training consists of a 1, 3 or 5 day course dependant on your previous experience, if applicable.
- 1 Day - Individual who holds a current Counterbalance Forklift Licence, which is due for renewal.
- 3 Day - Individual who has driven a Counterbalance Forklift before, or has a previous licence which has expired.
- 5 Day - Complete Novice. Individual with no previous forklift experience.
Your training will finish with a practical test to assess your abilities, and if passed, you will be issued with a full certificate and licence to drive a Counterbalance truck - accredited by RTITB.
Already hold another Forklift Truck Licence? Ask your practical instructor and you may qualify for a 2 or 3 day conversion course.
How do I get the training FREE of Charge?
The course will be free to you if you are in receipt of a means tested benefit, including Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support, Pension Guarantee, Housing or Council Tax Benefit, Working Tax Credit, Disabled Persons Tax Credit, or you are an unwaged dependent of anyone in receipt of the above.
Can I take the course even if I don't receive any of the benefits above?
Yes, you will be able to book onto the course for a discounted cost of £95.00 for both Stage One and Two of the training.
Do I need any Qualifications?
There are no minimum entry requirements for this course, however if you have previously taken courses with learndirect ® please inform our advisors when you register for the course, as this may affect your eligibility.
Can you help me with other training courses and qualifications?
Yes we can, we run a series of courses that, subject to eligibility, are also free of charge and we are adding new courses all the time, for more information please contact one of our training advisors who will be only too happy to help you.
How do I book my place?
Simply call one of our advisors on the number below or talk to your local Jobcentre Plus. We will then send out a course registration form that you need to return to our Head Office with proof of ID and evidence of any benefits you may be in receipt of.
