Critical Skills : Finalist at the Emda HighGrowth Business of the Year Awards
Critical Skills were this week recognised for the outstanding growth of their business at the East Midlands Development Agency’s HighGrowth East Midlands Awards at the Walkers Stadium. The awards celebrated the achievements of the high growth and potential high growth companies participating in its flagship business support programme, HighGrowth East Midlands, and recognised the amazing achievements of entrepreneurial Managing Director June Cooper and her dedicated team.
The evening was hosted by Angela Rippon OBE and featured an entertaining keynote speech by Sir Ranulph Fiennes BT OBE to honour the programme’s top achievers. 250 representatives from the businesses participating in the HighGrowth East Midlands programme from across the region gathered at the black-tie event to celebrate and recognise the efforts of fellow members.
Critical Skills (UK) Limited was a finalist for the High Growth Award, given to a company demonstrating a significant track record of high growth and delivering an innovative and compelling business strategy. The company has created an online retail business www.cboot.co.uk that provides real life work experience qualifications and training for people who need it.
June Cooper Critical Skills MD explained “We have adopted a 360 degree approach to training. That means people who come to us not only receive the skills and training they need for work but we also give them real life work experience. The process has been invaluable in getting people back to work and for us to be recognised as one of the leading companies in the East Midlands is a great honour.”
